I’ve got to be honest with you. A few months ago I didn’t even know what a “blog” was. I’d heard the term but was clueless. It seems in today’s world information and technology moves and changes so fast that it’s impossible to keep up. Eating an ice cream sandwich from the chow hall in the middle of an Iraqi summer without spilling a single drop might seem easier.

This whole idea of a blog has come from numerous people so I cannot take any credit for it at all. I’ve been asked “what do you want to accomplish with this blog?” several times. That’s simple…here’s the short version:

I’d love share my stories with you while at the same time hearing from you. I want to know your stories, your experiences. Did you have some trouble readjusting once you were home? Your experiences are not that different from so many others. You can probably help someone, too. That’s the purpose of this blog. You in? You got something to offer?
